Lackland Afb, Tx (San Antonio)

Provided leadership to select group of military training instructors to provide specialized training to approximately 70,000 new recruits a year. Training included classroom academics, testing, reading improvement and the confidence course. Additionally, ran the Military Training Instructor School where all new instructdors were trained. Prior to my arrival the section received at Excellent rating from Air Force inspectors. During my tenure the section received an Outstanding rating.

Lackland Afb, Tx (San Antonio)

The Basic Military Training School at Lackland AFB, TX is the only organization in the Air Force that trains new recruits. I provided leadership to one of ten squadrons training approximately 7000 new recruits a year. I assumed command of a squadron that was ranked #10 of 10 in all rating categories. In 18 months the squadron became #1. The squadron consisted of 55 instructors and staff who operated in a 3-story recruit housing and training building as well as outdoor areas. Of special note, this squadron was coed with 75% of the trainees being female.

Jusmmat (Ankara, Turkey)

The U.S. Air Force provides training to our allies through the International Military Education and Training Program. As chief of international training in Ankara I coordinated closely with the Turkish Air Force to determine the best training for their officers and NCOs. I put together the plan and presented it to the TAF HQ and U.S. EUCOM HQ staff each year. On an ongoing basis I conducted English competency tests of all individuals selected by the TAF for Air Force training. For those who met the minimum English skills I prepared them for travel to U.S. Air Force bases for technical training. In addition, I visited every TAF base to view and offer suggestions for the improvement of their English Learning Centers as well as frequent visits the the main school at their Air Training Command.

Tyndall Afb, Fl (Panama City)

In this position I was directly responsible for training and guiding a group of subject matter experts and training developers through the process of developing 8 training programs for the operation of a upgraded radar system. I personally trained each member of my staff in the use of the Instructonal System Development process to meet these requirements. In addition, I conducted staff assistance visits to field units to help them improve their training programs. I also served as a guest instructor of a local Instructor Training School.
