My name is Jerome Cargill, I am a 5th grade math and science teacher. I graduated from Miles College with a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication. I am also a Veteran who served six years in the United States Navy. Outside providing instruction in the classroom, I also have a tutoring service where I help students across the city to help them with their education during after school hours. I am a Birmingham city Let’s move coach, for elementary students, to help expose them to sports activities and team work before they reach middle school. I am also an advisor for a high school fraternity, Phi Kappa Sigma. The fraternity's mission is to provide high schools boys with a positive experience during their high school years. Each members who have joined has graduated and moved on to college or the military. I am a youth ministry at Redeeming Grace Full Gospel Church, part of my ministry is giving away shoes to kids that are less fortunate for the holidays. My goal is to be a service to the youth anyway that I can.
