Over 18 years’ experience of leading 3D design and engineering, drawing preparation for major projects involving earthworks, tunneling, infrastructure and building projects. Currently focusing on implementing a BIM and Digital Engineering approach for Atkins Ground Engineering and Tunneling projects. My expertise is centered on BIM, data management, production of design drawings and ground modelling, using AGS geotechnical data combined with 3D spatial information. Further to the application of my experience, I have developed an algorithmic design approach on Linear schemes, resulting in large time and cost savings. As a result an upskilling programme was implemented to share skills and the associated benefits of the technology across Atkins. The solution is also providing better interoperability with other software analysis & Design Tools. Creation and updates to the BEP document & ProjectWise setup.East West Rail Phase 1 (Network Rail): Responsible for the Earthwork modelling and drawing production of infrastructure (extent of approximately 16Km) using Civil 3D. Optimisation of earthworks modelling was achieved by writing project specific modelling routines which made the earthworks model partially automated and more easily interfaced with other design disciplines.
