After 6 mths as a member of the Packaging Team I was promoted as the Team’s manager. This was a big step up in my development as I had to manage my previous colleagues and also a non English native team of 6 associates.I managed a highly engaged team delivering new launches for markets & improving our quality and efficiency targets. Responsible to ensure the team were performing & recruited 10 new associates to Mars and I had to performance manage 1associate out of the business.Key Achievements:• Led, implemented and trained over 50 associates in a new globally aligned packaging specifications system. Including the global design of the system and the data migration of over 5,000 specs• Developed an Escalation Process for us to contract our support to factories, freeing up time to enable us to focus on more value added responsibilities• Recruiting, managing and developing a team of 6 associates for 12years. 5 of the associates I recruited have stayed & developed their career within Mars• Ensured continuity of supply and savings of 2M Euros to the Veghel site when we exited a relationship with Amcor. During this process we introduced 2 new suppliers to the site and moved over 500 packaging items within 20 weeks• Consistently delivered our cost saving targets derived from tender negotiations more than 10M Euro savings. This involved auditing, managing and scheduling trials to move packs between suppliers• I secured an in-plant resource from a supplier, even though we had removed 750K Euros of business from them, enabling my team to deliver more projects & re-build the relationship with the supplier• Represented R&D Packaging in the approval meeting for sign off of new product launches & packaging changes.• Created a step change in project Risk Assessment ensuring it continued evolving throughout a project• Introduction of a new supplier within 12 weeks -
