- Provides medical leadership on project teams- Provides medical/scientific consultation and therapeutic expertise - Oversees study specific medical/safety monitoring activities, ensuring compliance with ethical, legal, and regulatory standards as well as ICON and Sponsor SOPs- Represents the Medical Affairs Department in business development activities

Oversee safety issues of clinical studies conducted by ICON which will include the following:- Adverse event reporting to the sponsor- Follow up of adverse events as necessary- Communication of safety issues to Medical Monitor of sponsor and sites- Participate in the on-call safety monitoring procedureProvide all necessary medical support functions as defined by ICON Senior Management which will include the following:- Medical query resolution- Participate in weekly Medical Monitor Teleconference.- Medical information source- Ongoing indication training for project teams in therapeutic areas as requested- Review of study documentation (protocol, CRF etc.)- Contribute to investigator meeting presentations- Ongoing safety review of individual patient laboratory reports generated by central laboratories (if requested by the Sponsor)- CRF safety review- Contribute any necessary clinical interpretation into integrated clinical and statistical reports- Assist business development dept in making presentations to potential sponsors when appropriate- Review proposed budget plan- Participate in the bid-defense, kick-off meeting

- Evaluate, Monitor and Manage patients on dialysis- Provide health education to dialysis patients

- Handled clinical trials- Screen possible patients for inclusion to trials - Prepare source documents - Administer placebo/study drugs to patients - Monitor/document response to treatment as well as adverse events - Resolves discrepancies/queries - Ensures that the study is being carried out in accordance with the protocol
