At SAP's Innovation Office of Global Cloud Services, I'm conducting cutting-edge research on networks and energy efficiency. This research explores innovative approaches to improve network monitoring as well as sustainable networking, contributing to the advancement of the field:- Architecting and supervising the further development of the discrete-event simulator initially developed during my master's studies- Supervising and mentoring a colleague, providing guidance and technical expertise to enhance the simulator's capabilities- Utilizing Python for research concept implementation and comparative evaluation of different approaches to network optimization- Actively participating in agile team rituals and regularly presented my newest research advancements- Leading a project on gathering and analyzing host energy data from various sources, involving merging of different databases, data cleaning, and analysis, which provided valuable insights for the modeling energy consumption within data centers
