Was Creative Director and interim Studio Manager for the main production cycle of two main products: Mana Monsters and Animals in Teacups. Helped to found, hire and manage a growing start-up game studio. Was highly involved in the running of production in a cross-discipline manner. I was the Lead Designer for two of the company's titles (Silent Ops and Wonder Zoo) as well as the studio's overall Senior Designer (and promoted to 'Principal Designer' just before I left.While at Gameloft, I worked on a wide variety of design tasks including: level editing & design, enemy placement, scripting, high-level design pitches, game balancing spreadsheets/LUA tables, flow charts, UI wireframes, led design meetings, asset integration, combat mechanics, AI mechanics, gameplay progression, free-to-play monetization mechanics, story writing, voice acting direction, and more.

International

I led the company in the creation of two iOS games, PushPixPull and Miracle Baby, through internal and outsourcing means.Wearing a number of hats, both in running the company and making the games, I essentially worked on the design, marketing, production and 3D asset creation for the two titles.

Lead Designer for companies arcade game tiles. Development on: Textminator, Balloon Buster, Little Masterpiece, Willie Wheels and Snapshot. Managed the design of the company’s new games, and assisted in the quality control of existing titles. High-level hardware design for innovative arcade displays and mechanisms. Patent-pending inventor for core tech.

Designer for the hit children’s MMO, Webkinz, and Tail Towns, a casual social game oriented towards the female market. Led the initial Tail Towns design team, created initial concept presentations, interactive design architecture, flow charts, use cases and design documents. Created the monetization model. Responsible for creating all high-level concepts and communicating them to the team.

Designer for ‘Mage Knight: Apocalypse”, a single and online multiplayer action RPG, developed for Namco Bandai. Duties included: Level and mission planning, LUA scripting, Level Editing, SFX editing, Sound Editing (Issact), testing and tweaking as well as organizing game design meetings and discussions with the publisher. Other design tasks for Microsoft (XBLA), Sega (MMORPG), and game combat/mechanic design for Vivendi (unreleased fighting game)

Employed by a Taiwanese game studio as the Designer for a series of Xbox and Playstation 2 games. I led the development of a fully playable demonstration of a platform game starring a flying squirrel named Sprung. Company left game industry and abandoned the project.
