Responsible for the overall project management and technical oversight of a large health and education enabling environment project in Nigeria covering HIV/AIDS, family planning, reproductive health, child survival and basic education. Provides vision and leadership to the project, building strategic partnerships and liaising with the host country government and non-governmental entities, USAID, and other bilateral and multilateral donor assistance projects. The project centres mainly around policy, advocacy, and partnerships. Essential functions include overseeing and supervising all Futures Group and ENHANSE Project personnel in Nigeria; hiring of local technical and support staff; providing inputs on staff performance; maintaining communication with headquarters backstops and other relevant US-based personnel to relay project progress, problems and proposed activities; maintaining routine communication with the USAID Mission on behalf of the project and company; attending, as necessary, regular meetings with other USAID Implementing Partners as well as other bilateral and multilateral development assistance partners; overseeing the project's budget, as it pertains to local expenditures, and ensuring the efficient use of financial resources that is consistent with the country scope of work. Leads the annual workplan development process and ensure submission of timely quarterly reports to USAID; provides technical assistance to identified governmental, NGO/CSO, military and uniformed services, and private commercial sector agencies in the design, development, implementation and monitoring of project activities.
