Gobal Command Control Maritime System Operator
United States
This system equips Maritime Commanders at all levels with a comprehensive, integrated, and scalable Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) platform. It effectively combines, filters, and presents location and attribute data on friendly, hostile, and neutral forces across land, sea, and air. By merging this information with available intelligence and environmental data, the system supports informed decision-making at the command level.Operating in near real-time, it continuously updates unit positions and other situational awareness data. The GCCS-M system also logs data into appropriate databases, maintaining a history of changes. Users can construct tactical pictures using maps, charts, topography overlays, oceanographic overlays, meteorological overlays, imagery, and all-source intelligence information, all coordinated into a Common Operational Picture (COP) for local and shared use.Navy Commanders can utilize this information to assess the tactical situation, plan actions and operations, direct forces, synchronize tactical movements, and integrate force maneuvers with firepower. This system is designed to function in diverse environments and supports joint, coalition, and allied forces operations.
