In addition to the responsibilities of the SDE II position noted below, I am more heavily involved in product level roadmapping of features and releases in our 6 week sprint, serving often as an engineering team representative and subject matter expert to help accurately plan and delegate features among my 7 person team.I also perform mandatory code inspections for my platform, provide software specifications andLOE's for new work efforts, and lead morning standups, clearing technological or procedure related "blockers" for my team. This position essentially allows me to use my experience to help the other members of my team work more efficiently, while still developing and contributing to the code base myself. This role involved a large amount of cross department communication to ensure that the delivered product was in line with customer expectations. This included scheduling meetings with the appropriate stakeholders to gain clarity and direction for the specific business cases of each ticket, as well as providing opportunities to train said stakeholders on the intricacies of the finalized features. During this time I became a subject matter expert in EDI transaction sets and file transmission, specifically focusing on developing a 3rd party electronic billing solution for a new product. More specifically, my major project was to develop a C# .Net application that generated and validated EDI 835 files for transmission to EMEDNY. The application could be used by customers via the web platform itself, or interacted with via secure API by automated solutions. The SDE II level at Medisked largely signifies the ability to work independently when necessary to design solutions for new features proposed by sales and product.
