After starting off in the service with the US Navy and spending about 11 years working with nuclear propulsion and submarines, you would think life would be simplified after exiting one of the toughest and demanding jobs that probably exists. That experience and the fact of how my parents raised me and their care to get my education up to that point have marked how I approach my work and conduct myself through my daily business for which the most part have achieved very positive results. As I worked over the years after and during my service years to get a higher more traditional education, it has amazed me of how many of life’s issues that had to be solved and championed to allow me the time to pursue this educational quest which should not really be a surprise since my greatest skill set has been trouble shooting and problem solving. As my travels have taken me through the plastic bottles industry to service calls in a variety of industries to my current employment at Southwire Company which is not only itself becoming one of the world leaders in electrical wire and cable but actually working at one of the largest plants that has a common goal like that in the Navy and as it was from my first days of my educational process. That goal being to do the best we can to get the best product out the door for the best price and from that and championing all that can and will happen in between from a good economy to new processes to no economy and back again with great investments. With all that said and dealing with personnel life issues, I am once again positioning myself to be able to help and to better myself and my skills portfolio by working on a degree at University of West Georgia in the areas of management and management of information systems to go along with the volumes of safety and technological training I have accumulated over the years to be better and do better.
