★ I am a proven leader, and was recruited by Holzer Clinic to create growth in patient volume and increased market share via timely, appropriate, high-quality medical care and brand establishment in a new market. I was one of two full-time Urgent Care attending physicians; integral in achieving growth from 16,000 sq. ft. fledgling rented facility, with the Urgent Care Center as the only full-time department, to a multi-specialty, multi-million dollar/year net-revenue generating, $37 million dollar purpose-built medical complex of 70,000 sq. ft., including Ambulatory Surgery Center. ★ Through my suggestion and actions, Holzer Clinic partnered with the local medical school to become a training site for medical students, interns, and residents. I mentored, coached and motivated others to excel, while being a brand ambassador for Holzer Clinic. ★ In 2008, I was offered the unique opportunity to be the single, dedicated on-board voyage physician for the "Atlantic Crossing 1" with Jennifer Figge and crew. I eagerly accepted the opportunity with passion and enthusiasm, and I was involved in the medical and logistical aspects of preparing for the adventure.★ I/we ultimately crossed the Atlantic Ocean on a 14.7 meter Privelege catamaran ("Carried Away"), with a total of 6 souls aboard, as Jennifer was attempting to swim across the Atlantic. Departed from St. Vincent, Cape Verde and arrived at Trinidad/Tobago. Not only was this an exciting journey, but was also a true test of teamwork, reliability and cross-functionality, as well as maintaining team morale in difficult situations. Oh, and the vessel sank near the end of the journey!

✔ When I entered this role, it was for an ER stafiing company, and the locations were in NW Ohio. I had to quickly adapt to the variable departments/roles of the ancillary personnel, and also had to quickly engage the healthcare team to be collabrative in nature. This required diplomacy and tact, as (frequently) they did not know me, nor my capabilities. Soft skills were essential to function properly, as well as the technical skills to adapt to the particular ER environment.
