Jerome Johnson is the Director of Solutions Architecture for the National Security team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). He has accumulated over 20 years of Information Technology experience in both the commercial and government sectors. During his tenure at AWS, Jerome has provided technical leadership over the past decade to various federal & defense customers. Prior to joining AWS, Jerome worked at Booz Allen Hamilton as a Technical Manager/Chief Architect. In this role, he provided support to multiple US Federal Customers, including the Department of Energy, Department of Labor, and Federal Emergency Management Agency. Additionally, Jerome gained valuable experience in the financial industry while working as a Lead Software Engineer at Bank of America. There, he contributed to projects involving Derivative Trading, Bankruptcy, and Collection systems.Jerome pursued a double major in Computer Science and Mathematics at Charleston Southern University. He furthered his education at Virginia Tech University, where he obtained a Master's of Business Administration with a focus on International Business and Information Technology Management.
