Provide a vast array of legal services as determined by client needs, case evolution, and other aspects of the legal process. • Assisted a client with a developmental delay in avoiding 10+ years in prison by effectively navigating the client through a complex criminal case, conducting in-depth research to dispute circumstantial evidence, gaining critical buy-in from the prosecutor, and negotiating a compromise disposition and related resolution.• Represented a young client accused of several minor traffic offenses and negotiated the elimination of a court-imposed court fee in the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals by contending the equal protection clause of the Constitution applied and required fair treatment with similar cases.• Successfully supervised the preparation of clemency petitions for a post-conviction relief initiative, including learning all facets of the clemency process, providing aid to various cases, and helping numerous individuals in securing immediate release.• Represented multiple older adult clients accused of civil disobedience in an anti-nuclear weapons protest on a Navy base and enabled each client with long records of civil disobedience arrests to present social cause-related evidence for the first time that resulted in the introduction of key testimony from a former United States Attorney General and survivors of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings.• Received a not-guilty verdict while representing a client accused of several armed robberies in a jury trial. Presented arguments that the prosecution’s case was confusing and based on numerous assumptions.
