CurrentDesigned software systems for the education publishing industry. Highlights include systems for student performance tracking and regression analysis across millions of students and billions of records, and systems for content analysis involving preparation for high-stakes national examinations. Designed systems, supervised construction of prototypes and working systems. Responsible for providing customer-facing reports and documentation, technology and knowledge transfer, and providing advice and planning for customers’ next-generation systems. Systems developed targeting Python, Java and MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and SQLite environments. Reporting environments typically also require automation of Microsoft Office components such as Word and Excel.Designed and supervised development of robotics systems for light duty in the real world. These are mixed systems involving consumer-facing web components, mobile robots, and PC-based monitoring and control components. Web and PC based components were built primarily for the Python and Qt environments, while remote sensing and actuator systems were built in C++ and custom scripting languages for very small (32K – 256K) execution environments.
