The Strategy and Transformation team at AirNZ consists of 6 Agile Coaches, focused on embedding and improving agile ways of working across Digital. My accountability spans a portfolio of 4 neighbourhoods (portfolios), comprising 25 development teams. The nature of the teams I serve is diverse and includes business-critical legacy/mainframe teams, teams heavily dependent on offshore vendors, feature/product teams, and non-digital teams.

Involved in a large programme of work for Air New Zealand to replace legacy Operations Control system. Part of a team that was responsible for the testing of the new application suite, including various interfaces (message queues) between the new and legacy systems.Responsibilities included:• Smoke Testing, Functional Testing, System Integration Testing.• Liaising with the business analysts, team leads & developers.• Working with an overseas vendor for investigation and resolution of defects

• Was responsible for running/organising scrum activities such scrum of scrum,daily standups, refining, planning, retro’s etc• As a scrum master a large portion of my time was spend improving scrumpractices and development practices e.g. Implementing and rolling out Jira,improving spec and requirement process.

• Lead tester in scrum team on the Scratch Live (Windows/Mac) application.• Part of an initiative to improve software development processes at Serato via a groupcalled the “best practices forum”.• Also part of an initiative to work towards continuous integration by integrating automatedtests into current build System (Hudson)• Creation of GWT’s (Test Scripts)• Manual regression testing• Creation of requirements for new functionality• Facilitate communications with Beta testers• Running User Testing sessions• IOS testing

Jerome was the primary tester on the excess baggage project. His role included testing all aspects of the application and the webservices that connect to it, using various means including SoapUI. His role also involved quickly learning a 40 year old command line reservations system (Carina) which interacts with theapplication under test.

Software test consultant

Jerome was part of the Assurity test team responsible for delivering the testing for the Two Degrees Post Pay project. His role as test analyst has been to write and execute the tests for the customer facing applications (Web, IVR & USSD) and manage defects. He has also become the Jira administrator for the project and now shares his knowledge with other Two Degrees projects.
