Reading and interpreting client drawings to determine quantities of material and labor to apply against rates to develop cost baselines for Chevron’s Big Foot project. Assure that the quantities presented by the client are correct and result in the true Contract Value for the project insuring that GMF is paid for all of the original scope of work in addition to any changes and or growth to the original contract.

Analyzed blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for bids and job change orders. Consulted with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or construction team to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues. Prepared estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work. Prepared bid proposals and pre-qualification documents.

Supervision of the Material Take-off Department. Scheduled work hours for staff based on in house bid and job drawings. Prioritized work schedule for the Material Take-off department based on priorities set by the Project Manager or Estimating Department. Evaluated bid specifications and drawings to determine scope of work, material requirements, etc.
