In this role, I acted as the gatekeeper between all Non-Capital Service providers, both internal and external, and service acceptors at the Huntsville Site. This included the overall management of maintenance and operations work orders including creation, prioritization, release, review of plan, and closure. I approved and prioritized maintenance and operations work notifications in SAP to ensure that maintenance was properly directed toward the goals of plant reliability and availability. I was responsible for the overall health of the Maintenance backlog, which was accomplished through the elimination of unnecessary or redundant work and balancing activities with resource demands between the various operating units. Worked with the TES Manager to obtain additional variable maintenance resources during times when demands exceeded internal resources. I communicated daily with Operations to clarify work priorities across all units at the Site and worked to ensure that Maintenance was directed towards these priorities. I championed the MPI process in Huntsville to develop and maintain a current and accurate backlog management and work scheduling process. Followed up on scheduled work to ensure proper completion of work in the field, as well as, proper documentation in SAP. Requisitioned, scheduled and coordinated both maintenance and non-maintenance services performed by contractors across the Site. Worked with both Maintenance and Operations management to help control spending through proper work prioritization. Responsible for the coordination, planning, and execution of maintenance and capital activities during outages and for turnarounds.
