Elected as Undergraduate Lab Captain for Wirtz Lab.1. Organizing database system for recruiting undergrads into the labs by many different parameters like experience, interests, and availability to match the needs and projects of the many graduate and post doc. fellows in the lab.2. Created a system for new undergraduates to have access into our calendar to schedule lab duties and booking autoclave machine.3. Started a Wiki page to efficiently and uniformly introduce lab safety and lab duty procedures to new undergrads in the lab.4. Started a social group in order to efficiently and conveniently organize lab social events and activities.

Funded by Vredenburg Scholarship for to work in University College of London - London Centre for Nanotechnology (Dalby and Aeppli Lab)Projects worked on:1. Modeling the temperature gradient in the investigation of Optically Induced Thermal Gradients for Protein Characterization in Nanolitre-scale Samples in Microfluidic Devices.2. Construction of a microscope mountable butterfly stage used for nanolitre protein characterization through thermal denaturation of proteins through CAD technologies3. Validation of system accuracy and developing calibration curves4. Testing of Quantum Dot thermometry5. Designing process in LabVIEW for repeatable and accurate laser output in order to test my hypothesis on our unique prototype's ability to perform differential calorimetry.
