SERGEANT / WATCH COMMANDERLos Angeles Police Department // September 2001 – August 2022•Given the opportunity as Watch Commander within 1 ½ years of being promoted to Sergeant.•Reviewed / corrected multiple files and reports from patrol officers.•Created and executed an Excel spreadsheet for statistics tracking benefitting Captains and above in real-time knowledge of operations.•After retirement, I continue to be sought after by means of phone calls, texts, and emails requesting advice and knowledge of policy, procedure, and law.TRAINING OFFICER / POLICE OFFICER•Honored to graduate as the #1 Cadet (Parker Award) in my LAPD Academy training class (2002).•Recruited to the East Side Detail (2004), a specialized unit working Skid Row in Los Angeles. During this time, received a commendation for over 400 arrests in a 3-month period. Arrests helped reduce crime and illicit drug sales in the area.•Invited into the Drug Recognition Expert Instructor Cadre (2005), which led to a full-time position at the Training Academy prior to becoming a Field Training Officer.
