My research on organ regeneration in zebrafish was funded for two years by the MSCA (european research commission) including the management of €16,000 for laboratory spending. The research focused on using computer vision and machine learning algorithms to extract quantitative information from movies of regenerating organs.The funding also came with the opportunity to communicate science to the public. I participated in the Science is Wonderful! 2021 event where I demonstrated the spectacular experience of seeing zebrafish under the microscope to a classroom of children from Spain and got into a dialogue with them about the importance and joy of research.

I collaborated on the analysis of DNA data from a 4 gigabyte database from 2000 individuals using perl, R and bash programming languages.
