Jerrad Burford is a Senior Vice President and Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley in Montecito, California. For the past 30 years he has built an investment practice that allows him to engage in fewer, deeper and more lasting relationships with high net worth clients that are based on customized solutions, knowledge, experience and responsive service. Working with individuals and families, as well as select endowments and foundations, Jerrad’s advice extends beyond investing to encompass both sides of a client’s personal balance sheet. In effect, he offers the personalized advantages of a family office within the solid boundaries of a global wealth management company. He works closely with his clients’ estate attorneys, CPAs, and other advisors to help clients to navigate the increasingly complex arena of financial management and reach all of their life's goals.A native Californian, Jerrad grew up on a ranch in central California. He earned a degree in Agricultural Business Management from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. After graduation he joined Merrill Lynch and spent 17 years working with clients and managing the Financial Advisor training program. Jerrad moved to Smith Barney (a Morgan Stanley predecessor firm) in 2008 when Bank of America purchased Merrill Lynch. Outside of work, Jerrad is married to his wife, Jeannie, and is very involved in the activities of his four children. He enjoys volunteering with his boys through the Santa Barbara chapter of btc (Boys' Team Charity), either serving Friday night meals to the disadvantaged at the Rescue Mission or participating in beach clean-up days on the weekends. Jerrad is a long time supporter of Santa Barbara High School's MAD Academy, SBHS Aquatic Boosters, Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History, the Santa Barbara International Film Festival and Lotusland.
