Developed an entirely new private travel business line with more than 200 ready to book independent journeys around the world. Built custom workflows and technology for private travel planning and programming with partners in 70 destinations.TRAVCOA was America’s most iconic and distinguished luxury tour operator with award‐winning escorted, private and custom journeys, and private jet travel to all seven continents. Portfolio included TRAVCOA, TCS World Travel, Country Walkers, International Expeditions, Clipper Cruise Line, INTRAV, Caradonna Dive Adventures, and YMT Vacations. The parent, TUI Group is the world’s leading leisure travel company with more than 220 brands worldwide and $26B in annual revenues.

Led the brand to be the global leader in private jet expeditions after acquiring the major competitor. The brand became one of the most successful and valuable among all 220 owned by the parent company. TCS is a specialist tour operator using chartered Boeing and Airbus aircraft specially outfitted for just 52 to 76 guests on regional or around the world itineraries incorporating the world’s finest hotels, personalized sightseeing and educational components to deliver an unrivaled combination of luxury and adventure.

Led all revenue producing functions including: national sales, marketing communications and public relations, online/e‐commerce, direct marketing, fulfillment, reservations call center, air transportation, pricing, yield, and inventory. Oversaw product development team, onboard programs, exploration leaders and interpretive staff which allowed the company to pivot quickly following 9/11, offering domestic alternative destinations to Europe bound travelers. Introduced “webinars” and a robust travel advisor website portal in the early days of digital helping retail agents better sell alternatives to big ships.Cruise West was the largest American‐flagged and privately held small‐ship cruise line with nine vessels sailing in Alaska and one worldwide.

Launched an industry innovation in adventure travel by combining small ship cruising in Alaska’s wilderness waters, with naturalist led programs and off‐vessel exploration by kayaks and Zodiacs. Created multi-day tours and cruising in Glacier Bay National Park, a first ever, allowing guests the opportunity to really explore one of America’s best treasures. The overwhelming success from this new product category resulted in the acquisition of two additional vessels to keep up with demand. Was a founding member of America West Steamboat Company, developing and building “Queen of the West” for the Columbia and Snake Rivers of the Pacific Northwest, and “Empress of the North,” bringing back nostalgic side-wheeler cruising to Alaska. Also launched Voyager Cruise Line using the Alaska expedition model in the waterways of the Pacific Northwest and Mexico’s Sea of Cortez. Today many of the small ship operators have adopted our original vision using kayaks, Zodiacs, and highly skilled expedition leaders to show guests their destination in immersive and enriching ways. This privately held collection of small‐ship cruise brands in Alaska, Mexico, and the Pacific Northwest, was also the official concessionaire of Alaska’s Glacier Bay National Park, the 3.3 million acre crown jewel of the US National Park System.
