Responsible for maintaining and developing and maintaining the forecasting platform for the bulletin, as well as being a key part of developing, promoting, and running the Vancouver Island Backcountry Festival, which is now a major part of the annual fundraising that supports the bulletin.

I led an exceptional team of software developers building software that helped improve access to health care. After being acquired by Stericycle I played a pivotal role in transitioning and guiding our team through the acquisition, which saw us increase the both scope and focus of our team. During the 2 year period following acquisition I doubled the team size without losing any of the original technical team.

As one of the first employees of InQuicker I was both a key technical contributor as well as part of the leadership team since its earliest days. In additional to being a lead developer and technical architect, I was also responsible for overseeing and directing the technical operations of the organization and building, retaining, and mentoring the various technical teams including Software Development, QA, UX, System Administration/Devops, Product Management, and Technical Writing.

Viviti (now 'Jigsy.com') is an online CMS flexible enough to be used by everyone from people who know nothing about the internet to designers and developers. I led a small team of developers through the process from concept to launch while being responsible for for management, vision, development, design, and architecture of the project. In 2010, the platform had over 100,000 active users, and it continues to exist as a successful and growing platform for small businesses and individuals to create their online presence.

As Director of Software Development I was responsible for much of the technical direction of Bravenet. This encompassed product strategy, QA, and building and retaining the software development teams, as well as contributing as a lead developer in an IC capacity. Managed multiple teams on multiple projects, as well as taking lead development roles. Projects included the individual Bravenet Web Tools, the ad-serving platform, support portal, analytics and reporting, the credit card processing platform, hosting and domain registration infrastructure and user facing interface, etc.

Hired as one of the first developers at Bravenet as it started to grow, I was responsible for building and improving the majority of the original suite of web tools. As the team grew I took on more senior roles including owning and developing a number of larger projects including a SaaS helpdesk system, the domain & hosting platform, and the first version of the companies adserving platform.
