• Developed and managed the training and employment of a team of 40 employees in advanced HAZMAT and CBRN instruction using the newly designed and implemented Advanced Consequence Management (ACM) gear set worth over 2 million dollars.• Designed and orchestrated 7 large scale HAZMAT exercises to test and improve upon standard operating procedures in a contaminated environment. These exercises combined multiple civilian and Marine Corps agencies working together in a joint environment to accomplish all phases of a HAZMAT response. • Directed 10 HAZMAT Technician and 14 HAZMAT Operations courses in accordance with NFPA standards, resulting in over 56 employee certifications and 24 weeks of training in this highly technical field.• Executed 48 highly detailed and technical unit inspections, as the lead CBRN and HAZMAT program inspector for all of Third Marine Aircraft Wing containing over 17000 employees. Each inspection included deficiency reports and corrective action plans to ensure continuity, standardization, and high levels of readiness of CBRN operational programs in the Marine Corps.

• Trained over 900 employees on Individual Survival Measures (ISM) in a CBRN environment. With the assistance of top level scientist, incorporated advanced operating procedures to account for the specificity of special operations missions while maintaining acceptable levels of protection and readiness. Qualified a total of 86 employees over 2 weeks in advanced CBRN reconnaissance, monitoring, and sampling operations to ensure complete autonomy during deployed operations. • Lead planner and advisor for employment of all Special Operations Forces and associated assets in one third of Afghanistan for a 10-month deployment. Coordinated at the Joint Theater level with all entities of the US Government and Non-Governmental Organizations.• Established the CBRN Emergency Action Plan for 2nd Marine Special Operations Battalion. Incorporated the HSEEP model to successfully refine and test the EAP during the 12-month training cycle prior to the unit’s deployment to Afghanistan.

Camp Pendleton, Ca

• Deployed to Fallujah, Iraq in 2007 as a section manager for 26 employees. Led security patrols covering over 2500 miles of territory in areas of high enemy activity and 7 months of base secutiy. Resulted in over 40 IEDs being discovered and reduced.• Deployed to Al Asad, Iraq in 2008 as a Watch Chief for the Emergency Operations Center. Conducted 2300 of hours of watch as a crucial link in the command and control structure of the unit while engaged in all combat and crises operations during the deployment. Participated in the field identification, decontamination, and destruction of 5500+ gallons of dangerous chemicals left over from the Saddam Hussein era. These chemicals were known precursors to dangerous chemical weapons stored in deteriorating conditions and required full Level A HAZMAT suits in extreme heat to safely handle and dispose of.• Instructed the training of over 700 employees on Individual Survival Measures in a CBRN Environment. Qualified a total of 41 employees over 2 weeks in advanced CBRN reconnaissance, monitoring, and sampling team operations culminating in two successful deployments to Iraq. Recognized performance and competency above peers resulted in a meritorious promotion during this time.

Iwakuni, Japan

• Lead instructor of over 2200 employees in all aspects of CBRN defense, to include 32 separate courses of formal instruction in Chemical Reconnaissance and Avoidance operations each approximately 1-week long. Leadership and initiative above peers resulted in 2 meritorious during this time.• Assisted in the development of emerging doctrinal changes of fixed site CBRN defense, Counter Chemical Warfare (CCW), to include the validation of eight highly complex tactics, techniques, and procedures for Marine Corps wide implementation. MAG-12 was the first Marine unit to incorporate these concepts into their standard operating procedures and to exercise them in an expeditionary environment. • Planned and participated in Combined Joint Task Force Exercise Foal Eagle 2007. CCW concepts were executed on a large scale basis through a planned North Korea attack on Marine Corps Air Base in Iwakuni, Japan.
