For nearly four years, I gained valuable work experience at the advertisement department of the Daily Northwestern. I developed and honed my customer service and salesperson skills. I learned many valuable administrative assistant skills like proper phone etiquette, how to maintain a client database, and the importance of error free paperwork filing. I worked with two Northwesten University professors to conduct exhaustive research projects on two very different literary figures. I gained a lot of training on how to thoroughly research any topic, and became a much more proficient writer in the process. I also became a semi-expert on the two literary figures I studied.
