I graduated with my Masters in Healthcare Administration and Leadership in May 2020. Through my clinical and educational experience, I am committed to improving the economic and social climate of the healthcare industry. In hopes of one-day practicing medicine, I aim to bridge the gap between the administrative and clinical disciplines of healthcare. With healthcare costs constantly rising, I hope to educate others on the importance of preventative medicine and its ability to improve quality of life and reduce long-term costs. The opportunities that I gained through my experience as a medical scribe and a SERV leader has allowed me to develop valuable professional skills such as the ability to form interpersonal relationships, empathize with patients, and adapt to different circumstances. In addition, having experienced the value of working with underserved populations through various mission trips and volunteer opportunities, I hope to reach into underprivileged communities that lack proper medical care. I hope to leverage these skills and experiences into my role as a healthcare leader. Prior to attending medical school, I hope to employ the knowledge I gained from my MHA into the real world by working in a healthcare administrative role. By understanding the substantial complexity of healthcare and its efforts to achieve common purpose, I can maintain more oversight and focus on the patient experience as a physician.
