I am currently self-employed as a freelance communications specialist in the South Georgia area. My freelance work includes several big name companies in South Georgia and many independent clientele who are in and out of the media filed.

I was the lead reporter for the Manning Times in Clarendon County located in Manning, SC. My main duties were writing and maintaining two weekly papers, one that was a feature and profile piece and another that featured weekly news from around the community mixed with local opinions. Most of my work centered on changes and the socio-economic status of rural life and education. The job afforded many opportunities such as meeting one of America's top educators and meeting our current president.

I specialized in student media and trends such as Facebook and MySpace that centered around student life and university media. As a general assignment reporter I also covered stories that involved introspectively looking at mass communications as a tool to reach out to college aged students.

I wrote several articles for the English and Mass Communications department about the changing face of media in the 21st century while working for an inter-campus online publications class. I covered events at GSU for online journalism and marketing.

I wrote articles and other materials for the Army's Public Affairs Office and also the Office of the Colonel. Among other accomplishments I created and maintained a database of all media outlets in the South East.
