Working closely with the Navy, I learn and adapt to their needs and rhythm in order to help their transition from a product-based paradigm to a strategic solution. Interacting with a key Navy enterprise customer, I build strong relationships with the CIO and other executives to provide what the competition has not been able to deliver.

Building a long-term relationship with the Navy TeamSub programs, I was able to deliver a multi-year, $25 million program that their incumbent wasn’t able to provide. Historically, I closed Cisco’s first floating datacenter in the Navy onboard the USS Zumwalt. The result was a solution that met all of the customer’s needs, from network to datacenter to UC to security solutions.

In the midst of the US Federal Government sequestration, I was still able to deliver important and necessary network solutions to a market down 10%. I created, tested, and proposed a Cisco Data Center solution for deployment into the battlefield, which was selected as one of two finalists to compete for the customer’s final award.

In this position, I managed the partner relationship between AT&T Government Solutions and the Cisco Federal Sales organization, establishing key relationships with senior executives and decision makers at AT&T.

I managed the financial planning and analysis of the US Federal Sales Segment with an annual product and services revenue budget of $3.3B.

I developed and managed the P&L for the POWER5 product line, presenting the POWER5 pricing strategy and investment case to multiple line and finance executives and authoring a report to the IBM Chairman and CEO outlining the pricing strategy, program risks, and opportunities.

During my service, I led a staff of 25 sailors in operating, maintaining, and testing a multi-billion-dollar prototype nuclear reactor plant, reducing qualification completion time by 17%. I also created and delivered leadership seminars and technical presentations to 250 supervisory level staff members and was designated as a Navy Training Expert.
