Director Of Facilities Management
- Provided overall management, training, development, and supervision of custodial and housekeeping service for 1.5 million square feet of university facilities and grounds maintenance for approximately 100 acres, inclusive of horticulture, waste management and recycling, Gentry Complex, a Multi–Purpose Sports/Classroom Facility and seven athletic fields.- Coordinated various facility projects (i.e. indoors facility, renovation of Hale Stadium) working with internal and external stakeholders, Tennessee Board of Regents, State Building Commission, and other Tenessee agencies as necessary in support of the facilities master plan and mission of TSU.- Managed all aspects of operations, including event coordination, staffing, scheduling, set-ups and change control, power plant, building maintenance trades, sub-contractor supervision, housekeeping and pest control, and advertising and promotion of selected events.- Supervised a daily staff of 55, responsible for supervision of 400 plus contract event personnel, and provided appropriate training programs for assigned personnel.- Developed and monitored the annual budget for Tennessee State University’s Facilities Management Operation Department which totaled approximately $2 million in operating funds, inclusive of preparation and monitoring the departmental budget to insure current and long-term goal and objectives were achieved within fiscal constraints, projected time schedules, and other limitations.
