Jerrold is specialized in driving strategic development for emerging market financial institutions engaged in rapid growth, as well as structural turnarounds in complex environments faced with regional, macroeconomic and financial sector crises. Past roles have included an executive backstop for a sudden CEO departure during volatile times in Central Asia; and business transformation advisor to the Management Board of an institution heavily impacted by a financial sector crisis in the Caucasus region. In both cases, immediate structural improvements were required to offset a host of countrywide operational challenges that included economic recession, significant local currency devaluation, interest rate caps, and high levels of banking sector non-performing loans (forcing some FIs into insolvency). Jerrold directly led each in the development and then implementation of business re-engineering efforts that strongly succeeded, with each institution returning to profitability.Jerrold possesses functional disciplines that include executive leadership, corporate governance, enterprise risk management, business model transformation, process optimization, restructuring, financial performance and operational turnarounds. He brings more than 20 years of global experience and has worked in countries located in Africa, Caucasus, Central Asia, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East. Jerrold holds an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management and is currently the Partner of a consulting firm dedicated to financial institutions experiencing hardship, provides strategic advisory as a consultant and Chief Executive Officer for Transformative Crossroads and is a non-executive member of the Board of Directors for two subsidiaries within the FINCA Impact Finance global network. Jerrold is passionate for high impact volunteerism, having been recognized by the United States of America President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation for support of financial sector development in Azerbaijan; and by IFC and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation for his contributions in establishment of the first National Credit Bureau of Tajikistan (a regional success in Central Asia). He has also been an executive coach/mentor for the Global Talent Council at FINCA Impact Finance, as part of their 12-month fast-track Falcon development program for high-potential employees.
