Provides a strategic and consultative approach to enhance the end-to-end credit delivery process for multiple lending divisions throughout the group of Wintrust Financial Corporation community banks.

Led the commercial bank growth initiative of this innovative and responsive, Orlando-based community bank, by instituting all commercial banking services in order to transition from primarily consumer-focused to primarily commercial-focused. Opened new markets by creating lending teams and physical presence in the Tampa and Jacksonville markets, plus a dedicated SBA lending team.

Led a team of 34 covering all credit administration and operations functions for this $1.7B publicly traded Florida community bank. Provided leadership in operations of CRE, Construction Lending, Residential Mortgage, C&I and consumer lending. As CCO, oversaw new loan originations in 2014-2015 of $489MM and $549MM, respectively,Successfully revamped the entire mortgage lending process to ensure fair lending, TRID and other regulatory compliance, by creating a new mortgage lending policy and procedure, hiring a staff of underwriter, processors and closer and converting the bank’s LOS.Established internal loan controls and written policies and procedures to ensure the quality of the loan portfolio. Led the bank’s special assets workout strategy to maximize recoveries. Charge-offs in 2015 were $260M and were solely from previously acquired loan portfolios, as is 99.2% of the bank’s nonperforming assets.

Managed group of 8 at Wintrust flagship Lake Forest Bank & Trust, for all loan review, compliance, collections, and credit analysis functions including adherence to bank policies and governmental regulations for loan products including Commercial, Commercial Real Estate, Consumer, Residential and Community Investment.

Held Underwriter and Lender roles for JPMorgan Chase Middle Market Commercial Banking.

Built, led, and directed an eight-person operations team which became Brunswick Acceptance Company, a joint venture between GE Capital and Brunswick Corporation. Initially created in Hoffman Estates, IL and relocated operation to Knoxville, TN. Promoted into sales leader and oversaw a team of 4 direct reports. As a unit, closed several national credits resulting in over $50MM of new facilities.

The former manufacturer of Johnson and Evinrude outboard marine engines and parent to 15 recreational boat brands, with 1999 revenues of $1.1B, OMC filed for Ch 11 in 2000.Provided, on behalf of the company, all asset based lending reporting and support for a $150MM senior secured revolving credit facility led by Nations Bank. Supported all cash management, interest rate and foreign exchange risk management and forecasting.Managed the relationships with all third party finance companies; led the restructure and renegotiation of all free-flooring programs and repurchase agreements with each North American finance company.

Provided the analytical review of new and existing commercial loans, assessing historical and projected financial information, credit history, loan performance, cash flow and other relevant information.

Worked full time while earning undergraduate degree. Promoted into positions of increasing responsibility culminating in Personal Banking Manager, in which I managed a team of 5 account officers, providing customer service to new and existing retail and commercial clients.
