While working as an Import and Export Coordinator at Taylor Guitars I managed the Custom Trade Partner Against Terrorism (CTPAT) program. Part of my job was to analyze and create North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) documents. Some of my responsibilities was to create and maintain warehouse policies and procedures that would produce a nice smooth flow of cargo across international borders. I worked very closely with the Fish and Wildlife department to ensure all the necessary permits were in place to ship guitars or lumber to our many customers overseas. I frequently worked closely with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) to obtain phytosanitary certificates so lumber could be shipped across the international borders.

Working as a guitar technician I was able to work on the assembly process of the guitars. Starting from the very beginning stages of milling very large pieces of lumber into smaller more manageable pieces all the way to shaping the guitar. Once the guitar had a shape I would apply cosmetic features and perform a final inspection of the guitar to ensure it met the high quality standards Taylor Guitars is known for. I would also assist in training the new employees.

At WEBB Designs I made custom window blinds. These custom window blinds were made mostly for hospitals but were also used in other businesses worldwide. Besides creating custom window blinds, I would also work in the shipping and receiving department.
