Full time social science faculty member at LPTC.

Teach social studies methodology courses to Education majors, including a world history/geography course specifically for ELED majors. Supervise year-long-residency teachers in the field.

Recruit teacher candidates for the GoTeachSD program and work with them on campus as their advisor. Develop recruiting materials for presentations including power point shows, iMovies, and color brochures. Created excel spreadsheet to track student data regarding recruitment dates, majors, testing scores, field experience, and certification and graduation dates. Supervise teacher candidates during their residency experience. Team with other faculty and staff of USD to develop and present programs for Native American students. Set up and make arrangements for student attendance at conferences and conventions. Teach mentoring class for licensed teachers. Chair scholarship committee and housing allowance committee.

Began at Mankato East HS as a guidance counselor. In January of 1999 I was picked to helped create an alternative middle school for the district and worked on that program for two years. In 2001 I returned to the classroom, teaching American history at the secondary level.
