Effectively managed multiple tier 4 data center sites including corporate data center in Denver, Colorado; 24 X 7 X 365 Operations and systems admin staff of 35. Overall responsibility for data processing in a multiplatform environment. Management of backup and recovery policy for entire network computing environment. Managed QA team responsible for developing and maintaining a structured change control and UAT environment. • Designed and implemented a trouble escalation process which allows Operations to aggressively manage resolution of out-of-tolerance conditions ensuring continuous availability and high performance of business critical systems. • Developed and instituted measurable KPIs to assist in establishing and attaining operational goals in support of various business unit requirements. • Developed standardized SLAs to ensure Data Center Operations direction was directly aligned to support business unit requirements.• Large-scale project management included: adding the corporate data center and NOC to the City of Denver underground chilled water loop (the first downtown high-rise to be utilize the loop), done at minimal cost to Qwest and completed 9 weeks early of target date; build out of dual generators to provide redundant, uninterruptible power to business-critical areas; conversion from Halon to FM200 fire suppression; involved in all phases, from site selection to equipment migration, of disaster recovery site in northeastern United States. • Responsible for all data center facilities and infrastructure including electrical, HVAC, fire detection/suppression, remote monitoring of infrastructure, inventory control, space planning, and security/access control.
