As the lead staff engineer implementing design plans as an ISP Telecom Access/Transport Engineer contracting with CenturyLink (later Lumen) and Windstream, I interpret the planning design to achieve clients’ objectives writing project specifications detailing site information, scope of work, field contractor duties, site materials required, device naming with access information and device network connections and cabling. After projects launch, I manage the larger or more complex projects which often involve multiple sites and required teams to meet completion dates reliably. Growth, end of life cycle and new services projects completed include TDM POTS, VOIP, IPTV, Ethernet (optical and EoC), VDSL2, T1, D4 special circuits, FTTP GPON, IPTV, OC3 to 100G optical circuits, CWDM/DWDM transport, RODAM transport, Transponder Mux transport, Ethernet Switches, Ethernet Routers and DC power requirements utilizing products from Calix, Adtran, Tellabs, Actelis, Optelian, Infinera, Fujitsu, Ciena, Alcatel-Lucent, Emerson, and Valere.I have successfully managed teams up to 10 engineers on several IPTV (up to 1G service to the customer) projects involving 100 to 400 sites on a six-month deadline. I have also managed an EoC (Ethernet over Copper) project with 150 sites with a team of 4 engineers. Give assistance to other Engineers as necessary.
