• Supported two major re-design projects. Re-design of Refrigeration Bottom Mount Product Line and Slide in Range Line with market introductions Q3, 2012. Team sourced 432+ parts and assemblies based on technology / marketing needs, commodity strategies and cost targets. • Analyzed / compared competitive teardown data and cost model data to identify cost take out opportunities. Worked with cost modelers (DFM / DFA) and engineering to drive negotiating reductions with supply base. Resulting significant cost reductions.• Co-led cross-functional team on identifying global suppliers with capabilities of producing cost effective chrome finishes across platforms - cooking, laundry, dish and refrigeration for product lines. Co-developed migration path based on pricing, performance and brand language.• Exceeded personal productivity goal of $4.9M despite record increases in all raw materials and commodities.

Responsible for eliminating costs by $10 per unit on 14’ and 16’ top mounted products.• Directly responsible for saving $1.7M with a total project savings of $6.8M• Responsible for procurement of raw materials (Steel, Aluminum, and Stainless), metal stampings, paints, and chemicals with $75M annual spend for Refrigeration Manufacturing Divisions. Annual savings exceeded ~$2.3M.

• Exceeded contractual agreements on maximizing rebate dollars of $910K (90% over goal) by utilizing Supply Base Optimization and Business Consolidation. Achieved Total Cost Productively Savings of $3.1M.• Selected to engineering program responsible for technical bridge between Procurement and Product Development. • Accountable for $5M in tooling responsibilities within supply base while leading cross-functional teams in early supplier selection and involvement on new features and new model introduction projects.

• Represented Product Development as part of a specialized project team focusing on the development of a 5-year manufacturing strategy. • Implementing changes necessary to meet 1998 energy requirements, eliminate CFC’s, and improving our product competitiveness. Program later used as model for the entire Evansville Division to be organized and successfully embrace World Class Manufacturing.

• Responsible for design and development of cabinet features and release of domestic refrigerator model lines. • Achieved cost reduction savings of $2.9M. Major accomplishments include: Side mounted extruded handle with co-extruded grip, Whirlpool and Kenmore nameplates, 18’ top mount thermoform interior door panel, door trims and endcaps, butter doors, and wire shelving.• 06/88 to 09/89: Assigned to day-to-day engineering maintenance and redesign of common interior parts of plastic line for Top Mount and Side-by-Side refrigerators. Achieved $1.8M Annualized Savings. • Implemented a cost reduction program on porcelain KitchenAid top mount and side-by-side refrigerators before phasing out in 1990. Achieved Annual Savings of $850K.

• Responsible for the start-up and daily labor management of (2) assembly lines for a newly designed plastic liner refrigerator.• Prepared product cost studies, part routings, initiated preliminary designs, and assisted with capital budgets.• Achieved $200K Annualized Savings via operational procedures analysis and time and motion studies.
