Also responsible to interview and hire the best possible team members for the above positions. Achieved non-perishable shrink budget year to date.

Responsible for coaching, teaching and training twenty-two Produce and Floral managers in the areas of sales, gross profit, shrink control, AP Audits, Fresh Check Audits and career development. Improved sales and shrink in produce and floral.

Responsible for category management of produce, non-fresh produce and holiday planning. Experience also includes: sales, profit/gross margin, pricing, shrink, plan o gram management, communication to retail merchants, manage buyers, service level and product turns. Improved selection on new varietals of apples and pears and grew non-perishable sales 6 years in a row. Last category managed was up 13.1% and on target to exceed sales and profit budgets.

Responsible for 114 produce and floral retail departments. Job duties included: sales planning, gross margin, training department managers, holiday planning meetings and seminars, department specific plan o grams, pricing, produce warehouse inventory and turns, communication to district, store and produce managers, teaching and coaching store/produce managers during store visits.

Responsible for managing a district of 16 to 22 stores (managed 6 different districts). Duties included hiring store and department managers, sales, profits, budgets for stores and district, inventory control, cash control and people management.

Responsible for 98 produce departments in the Jacksonville operating area. Purchased products, wrote weekly ads, planned special sales events, managed warehouse levels and turns and managed floral inventory and turns. Trained eleven produce buyers when the Company went to central procurement.

Responsible for managing 11 different locations with the last store having over 100 team members. Duties included hiring team members, development of department managers, sales, profits, store budgets, inventory control, cash control and people management.
