Did everything from assigning stories to signing off on final pages. During my tenure, we completed nearly 100 issues, all on time. In that period, Audubon was a finalist for numerous National Magazine Awards, including General Excellence three times.• Edited stories for the magazine and the website; copy edited every magazine story for almost 17 years. • Managed the Audubon Photography Awards, from the contest’s inception in 2009 through 2016. Brought together multiple parties—consultants, IT personnel, art and photography staff, and, most important, participants—to create a successful contest. The two most recent contests averaged $30K in net revenue. Led effort that resulted in 2015's winners being displayed at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History, bringing significant attention to Audubon as a leader in bird photography.
