My role at Innovative Lighting has been as to give the company vision. We use that vision to set ourselves apart through the introduction of innovative new products. We are just completing the development of two new lighting systems which are energized and controlled via Ethernet cables. They are a culmination of applying new technologies with the goal of producing the most environmentally friendly lighting system available,today. Our new POE (power over Ethernet) lighting system is based on a low voltage platform and eliminates the need for many of the components used in installing and operating the high-voltage electrical system required by incandescent, fluorescent, and many LED lighting and wireless control systems. The system is granularly controllable and capable of being operated in a traditional manner such as from a wall switch or by sensors, a computer or smart phone. The system is easy to use, reduces energy consumption, uses less natural resources to deploy, reduces installation costs, and is recyclable.After the vision, my role shifts to gathering the right people, creating the right alliances, devoting the right resources, then getting out of the way to let the gifted people make the vision a reality.
