Music. Maintained relationships with these labels’ managements, staffs and legal representatives throughout the terms of the deals, including overseeing legal issues for all their artists’ releases• Structured, negotiated and drafted hundreds of record deals and similar agreements, including numerous multimillion dollar transactions involving many of Universal Motown Republic’s and Island Def Jam Mercury division’s most important artist relationships (e.g., Stevie Wonder, Jack Johnson, Amy Winehouse, 3 Doors Down, Taylor Swift, Kanye West, Nikki Minaj, Drake, The Killers). Conducted all major renegotiations of these deals, and oversaw recording and marketing campaigns for all releases.

Managed and directed outside counsel on these matters.• Served on several UMG-wide committees tasked with developing unified contract templates for use throughout UMG (note: UMG’s agreements were routinely adopted throughout the recording industry). • Presided over weekly meetings with UMR’s heads of Finance, Recording Administration and Marketing departments to forecast and control spending, and clarify complex deal terms.
