Jerry Kelly is the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Information Officer for AMS Group, Inc. AMS Group Inc. is a leading distributor, manufacturer, and supplier of engineered aerospace and defense systems, components and subsystems, providing innovative technologies and logistics support to defense and security markets.Prior to AMS, Jerry was the Chief Technology Officer at the DAS Group of Companies (DAS), a Division of Omnicom Group (NYSE: OMC). He was also the CEO of Consolidated Data Services, an internal provider of IT services from the data center to the desktop for the DAS Group of agencies. CDS had over 450 employees and a significant cost structure associated with the data centers, hub buildings, global network, security, and services. At CDS, Jerry completed the design and build of three global private cloud data centers, the migration of legacy data centers to the new facilities, and the onboarding of over 190 DAS agencies (5,000+ servers) into the new consolidated environment. Further, he led the design and build of a globally redundant WAN, the creation of a world-class cybersecurity operations team and program, and the consolidation of 45,000+ email accounts to Microsoft Office 365. Other significant initiatives included the build-out of several campus buildings in London, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, and Dallas with the capacity to support over 7,000 employees. Additionally, Jerry established a cloud strategy that included a Cloud Brokerage service with Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure and led a cloud-first migration project that moved over 1,000 servers to the cloud. The cloud brokerage provided central spend visibility to all business units which allowed for cost and performance optimization and best practices. Before that, he was a software and database architect designing and building custom enterprise software solutions for both public/private companies, nonprofits, associations, and government agencies.
