⬩ Oversees the daily operations of a retail apparel small business, managing the staff in addition to handling customer interactions. This also involves opening and closing procedures, along with the direct inspection of cash controls.⬩ Supervises back-of-the-house product logistics and in-store presentation, as part of the team that observes fashion trends and surveying customer requests.⬩ Directly manages the monthly and quarterly sales tax remittance process to the California Department of Tax & Fee Administration, formerly to the State Board of Equalization.

⬩ Served as a primary conduit for policy and public communications coordination between theUnited States Department of Commerce to local municipal government agencies, includingschool districts, for the purposes of facilitating the commercial and business interests of thenational economy and public benefit.⬩ On temporary loan assignment to the United States Census Bureau, serving as principalagency liaison to 12 public school districts, 5 cities, and three unincorporated communities inwestern Riverside County for 2020 Census public information communications, social mediastrategy, and event planning (including speaking engagements).⬩ Writing, reviewing, and editing on behalf the United States Government, in close coordinationwith partner agencies, constituent communications designed for locally hosted events(including council or board meetings) and online resources (city or school district websites).

⬩ Founded and managed an independent public affairs consulting company, servingregional business/non-profit organization clients and directing field-level politicalcampaign operations at the state, municipal and school district levels.⬩ Strategized & implemented a comprehensive community relations package for a privatecorporate client. The project include media communications, town hall informationsessions, legislative analysis, and a variety of corporate social responsibility duties.⬩ For the Orange County Clerk-Recorder, developed a departmental strategic plan thatpublicized and encouraged community participation in the United States Census 2010.Working with a bureau partnership specialist, and in conjunction with the Office of U.S.Representative Loretta Sanchez, created a first-of-its-kind informational brochure designedspecifically for an elected official. Drafted an outreach package that involved brochures,banners, public service announcements, web features, and news releases.⬩ In an interim Executive Director assignment for the California statewide Korean AmericanGrocers Association, organized the 2007 Annual Scholarship Awards Banquet. Secured theDirector of the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control as keynote speakerand raised $27,200.⬩ As a government agency liaison, established new school district client relationships for asmall business start-up implementing low/no-cost centralized electronic irrigationmanagement systems through a grant program funded by the Metropolitan Water Districtof Southern California and its member agencies.⬩ Conducted residential/commercial/industrial zoning feasibility research and propertysite planning: Assisted a preschool seeking a second location along a scenic corridor in aresidential neighborhood; Researched for the Fullerton Medical Center the preliminarybuilding expansion constraints and legal limitations related to title.

Elected by the 45,000 residents of the district, I represented the community, students and employees of the seven schools in the communities of Buena Park, Fullerton and La Palma. My responsibilities included policy development, budgeting, administrative appointment/oversight & disciplinary adjudication.

As Chairman of the Political Action Group Effort (PAGE) Committee, I lead the political and policy campaign efforts for the organization. In addition three times annually, I organized policy discussion forums on relevant and timely issues for board members and administrators of districts in the association.

⬩ On behalf of the Assembly Member, created lasting relationships with Buena Park CityHall and community organizations through constituent outreach.⬩ Acted as a frontline point-of-contact to state agencies and legislative priorities to theresidents, businesses and organizations of the district. In one instance assisted the BuenaPark School District in securing matching state financing for a new multimillion dollargymnasium project.⬩ Organized for the district an ongoing constituent correspondence project, of upwards of8,000 pieces of mail, that reached local community leaders, including city councils andboards of education regarding legislative goals and achievements.
