As a longtime TU faculty member, I have taught undergraduate courses and labs in calculus-based physics for our outstanding science and engineering students. I have led numerous teacher training grants for K-12 science and math teachers in Oklahoma. For over fifteen years, I have presented “Professor McCoy’s Wonderful World of Physics,” an entertaining and educational collection of physics demonstrations, to audiences all over the Tulsa area. I am also the founder and host of the TU Physics Journal Club, a popular monthly meeting of students, teachers and interested professionals from the Tulsa area that has met for over two decades. For years I have been an elected member to TU's Faculty Senate. I have been recognized with several teaching awards including The University of Tulsa lifetime teaching excellence award and the Oklahoma Science Teachers Association’s Higher Education Science Teacher of the Year.
