PROFILEMy career as a Learning & Development professional has taken me to places I never imagined in my youth. I have been in a position to positively impact the people of the organizations I have served. Along the way, I have built my educational profile to continually enhance my understanding of the L&D field and build my own personal skills. I currently hold a MS in Education / Training & Performance Improvement from Capella University.I've come a long way from the tobacco fields of eastern North Carolina and I am very blessed to be where I am today.One primary facet of my career distinguishes me from many: I learned -- I applied. My formal education all came AFTER I became engaged in L&D. All that I learned could be immediately applied to the work I was currently doing. Learning new information / skills is always good but being able to put that new knowledge and those new skills to immediate use is very rewarding.CAREER GOALTo use my educational background and L&D experience to implement and manage a successful organizational level training operation that strives to reveal and enhance the very best employee talents to meet organizational goals through effective learning interventions.My youngest daughter has been through 3 cancer battles, so I'm keenly aware of the value of the products produced by the pharmaceutical / biotech industry.
