Adapted the SeqUR web app from Vue to React while keeping the original app running and without impacting business deliverables. Championed the OneSearch refactor to combine 15 search-related APIs into a single flexible search API that dynamically generates SQL to handle client requests.Marker Curator Project: Developed a web app that allows users to search, create and update genetic marker targets in P360 assets. Users can link markers to transformation events and curate distinct markers to make them available for linking to related assays. Participated in usability studies, design sessions, workshops, and planning meetings. Jun 1998 - Jan 2001As an engineer in the Advanced Development Center (ADC), my goal was to develop innovative and differentiated concepts in software using Digital Image Processing, Pattern Recognition, Neural Networks, and Fuzzy Logic.Airport Concourse Egress System (ACES) Project: I adapted the prototype of a computer vision-based security system to an ActiveX Server, and successfully interfaced with customer’s client VB app. We implemented this system at Lambert airport and it successfully protected concourses against individuals attempting to re-enter via the egress.Digital Video Recorder (DVR) Project: I developed the algorithms for the DVR prototype, successfully demonstrated to customer and delivered to our commercial products department. This system was patented (see below) for its tiny storage footprint and its motion detection capabilities and has promising applications in ATM monitoring and security.Automated Prescription Validation Project: I led development of a pill recognition system for Express Scripts that used image processing and feature extraction to validate prescriptions as they were being automatically dispensed. The system reduced the pharmacists needed to manually check each prescription order and dramatically reduced the overall human error rate.Striker/Sabre Radar Project: I assisted with developing the Built-In-Testing code for Sensor Management Unit installed on Striker/Sabre military vehicle. Responsible for radar audio mode implementation in VB and final testing of SMU hardware and software.
