I am the Director of the House Democratic Legislative Policy & Research Office. I am responsible for managing an office of over 30 employees, meeting with House Democratic Caucus Members and staff on legislation, research, and other projects our office handles, attending House Democratic Caucus meetings, creating and shepherding new policy ideas for Democratic State Representatives, and providing training to all new employees that are hired in the office. Furthermore, I am responsible for hiring and onboarding new employees, conducting performance evaluations, and developing new policies and trainings for the entire office.

In addition to continuing to manage the Law & Justice Unit in the office, I was the Assistant Director of the House Democratic Legislative Policy & Research Office. I was responsible for helping to manage an office of 30 employees, speaking and meeting with state representatives regarding projects our office handled, attending Democratic Caucus meetings, and training all new employees that were hired in the office. Furthermore, I assisted the Director with various managerial duties such as hiring new employees, writing employee reviews, and developing new policies and trainings for the entire office.

I managed the Research Analysts in the Law & Justice Unit (Judiciary and Liquor Control issues) of the House Democratic Legislative Policy and Research Office. I was responsible for assigning projects, giving detailed instructions, proofing/revising the final work products, and training/mentoring the analysts. In addition to my managerial duties, I continued to draft complex legislation for House members that would go before the House Judiciary Committee or House Liquor Control Committee. Finally, I also continued to compile detailed research memorandum and constituent response letters.

I was a Research Associate in the Public Safety Unit where I drafted and analyzed legislation for state representatives concerning judiciary, liquor control, and veterans issues. I also compiled detailed research memorandum and constituent response letters.

I interned under Audrey Powell, Policy Director for former Majority Leader Bill DeWeese, where I learned to draft legislation and compile detailed research for various subjects.

I interned for three summers in the legislative district office for former Majority Leader Bill DeWeese. My duties included constituent letter writing and interacting with constituents to address their concerns and meet their needs.
