Once in country, successfully conducted over 150 in theater extensions, 35 retention briefs for over 500 Soldiers.INITIATIVE AND RESOURCEFULNESS: - Developed in detail a briefing to ensure the Soldiers understood the current opportunities concerning extending in the military, earning a college degree with distant learning, and bonuses. - Expanded the briefing to identify job assistance after deployment, suicide prevention, Veterans Administration Assistance in order to build trust and demonstrate a total care concept of the Soldier. - Contacted the West Point Military Academy Admissions Office for a point of contact and information for current enlisted Soldiers to attend; included this information in the briefing as well. PERSONAL QUALITIES: - Volunteered on a weekly basis to assist the Contingency Aeromedical Staging Facility (CASF) transporting wounded Warriors from the hospital to the aircraft for transfer to Germany. ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Provided over $250,000 in bonuses with zero deficiencies or erroneous bonuses and over 250 Memorandums for Record concerning Soldiers previous extensions completed incorrectly. Identified an error in a current regulation causing the ARNG Standard Branch to correct for future publications. Earned the Bronze Star, Join Commendation Medal, the Combat Action Badge, the Silver German Schutzenschur Badge and letter of Commendation.
