Managerial Highlights• Manage & Develop 18+ resources responsible for creating data models for the enterprise including relational, dimensional/warehousing, canonical, data lake and big data oriented solutions.• Provide Development plans, training opportunities and career development for my people.• Expanded the role of the Data Modeling practice to include designs using cloud based technologies such as GCP, AWS and Azure. This includes both logical and physical design as well as performance tuning. Data Strategy Experience• Piloting a repeatable process to gather, assess and align a Business Unit’s metadata to UPS’s Data Strategy’s Operating model components.• Worked with Business Executives, VPs, and SMEs across UPS business lines to integrate their data assets into our Enterprise Data Strategy solution.• Training and leading my staff in developing a process on how to utilize our skillsets/business knowledge to assist with and help train various actors in the Data Strategy with their tasks.

Data Modeling Experience• Provided Data Modeling designs and support related activities touching 60+ applications covering various initiatives across UPS Business lines.• Created large highly complex data models/designs for major data integration/re-architecture projects such as Ocean/Air Freight Sales consolidation, UPS Capital, Amazon Reporting, Order Management, Sales & Marketing Incentive Compensation, Enterprise Supplier Management, Retail Management System and Voice of the Customer.• Worked with fellow Lead Modeler to create UPS’s first Enterprise Canonical Data Model as part of the Strategic Visibility Program in 2012.• Managed/Developed 2-7 FTEs responsible for assigning work and reviewing their deliverables, time management, employee reviews, mentoring, and providing training plans.Data Architectural (Information Architecture) Experience • Created Data Architectural “As-Is” and “To-Be” data flow diagrams documenting current state and making recommendations on future state of the technologies, endpoints, data stores, services and alike.• Key projects include UPS Capital Re-architecture, Amazon Reporting and Order Management System.

• DBA using Oracle and UDB/DB2 in support of various applications including UPS ePortal, Corp I.E., and various Sales Applications.• Activities included data design, physical design, script creation and implementation into environments.• Support activities included performance tuning and monitoring capacity/space allocation.
