CurrentI have started my own criminal defense practice in Santa Ana after 17+ years as a prosecutor, and as a Senior Deputy District Attorney. (sworn-in as Deputy DA 11/94). I am a CA Board Certified Specialist in Criminal Law. Less than 5% of all criminal lawyers have this status.I represent all criminal matters bringing aggressiveness and integrity, armed with nearly two decades of experience working in the trenches of the Orange County Justice System. I have extensive ties with all District Attorney staff, Assistant, Senior and Deputy DA's. I have worked and tried jury trials in all Justice Centers in Orange County. My jury trial experience is documented and unparalleled in the County. I have tried homicides and manslaughters to a jury both as a prosecutor and as counsel for the accused. I have tried more than 100 felony trials in total, 19 homicides including 11 special circumstance homicides. In addition, I have more than 50 misdemeanor jury trials. (per official OCDA statistics as of 7/2011 and later). I have tried more than 150 court trials and Juvenile criminal adjudications.
